Re-Turn send team members out to shops to understand the challenges presented by the new DRS scheme

RGDATA members have agreed to host the Re-Turn team members so that they can see exactly how the new scheme is going down with customers and shop staff. This follows reports of angry customers challenging staff over deposits on products with no Re-Turn logo, customers having little or no awareness about the new scheme or the “transition period” and teething problems with RVMs.
RGDATA Director General Tara Buckley has given lengthy feedback to Re-Turn on the need to address the challenges that retailers and their staff are dealing with and to review the cost implications as a matter of urgency to ensure the scheme is cost neutral for non-producer retailers.
