“Something has got to give.” That was RGDATA's warning in the Business Post, as new figures reveal 30,800 fewer jobs across the retail and wholesale sector since 2023. RGDATA Director General warned that independent retailers are struggling to maintain employment levels as costs continue to rise, calling on Government to recognise the cumulative impact of these increases and provide meaningful relief on employment and energy costs.
