​RGDATA and other representatives attending the Retail Forum told Minister Damien English that energy bills continue to spiral and retailers fear the proposed temporary support scheme of up to €10k per month will just not be enough to stop job losses and shop closures.

The Minister also agreed to have a special meeting on wage costs as concerns were raised about the many Government initiatives that were increasing employment costs at a time when inflation was impacting on sales and input costs.
